If I could give a minus, I would.
They made what should have been an exciting day absolutely shitful.
They taped up my good wooden furniture, which now has marks all over it.
One person was carrying 1 chair at a time to the truck, the chairs with about 1 kg each, if that.
They were late.
Took over 4 hours to load a 4.5 ton truck, it was loaded so badly, they didn't even fit half my 3 bed home in it and we had already moved most of the boxes ourselves.
O tips them 3 times the bed had to go over the balcony, but they knew better. 20 minutes of trying to get the bed down the stairs, they said they would have to take it back up. They had to use my rope, which they just left in the back yard and left the door wide open as well,
and didn't bother to tell me so we stove top the new house with my home side open. Then they refused to get the rest of our stuff and this was at 445pm on a Friday afternoon.
They were rude and arrogant, I ended up sitting in the back of the truck with my stuff so they couldn't drive off with it in the truck.
The boss was just as bad and kept messaging them and not having the respect to talk to me. The house had already settled and nearly all off our furniture was still in it.
They gave me no paperwork or terms and conditions at any timeRead more

Trucks were not the size that were quoted, said 4 ton, at best they were 2.5 ton and looked to be rentals from Europcar.
Distance from house to house was 30 mins booked for 12 midday…still unloading at 9pm with another load left at house (now owned by new buyers)!!!
Agreed to do another load over the weekend to pick up rest of furniture , which was sitting in a carport, and charged a further $1200 which they wanted upfront.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…..CON MEN!!!!
Truck sizes quoted were lies, time taken to move were lies. What a stressful and extremely expensive experience. They really aren’t removalist, more like, men with vans. Do yourselves a favour stay away from them unless you want to move for more!!!!

They flooded a room in our apartment after disconnecting our washing machine and the owner of Move For Less completely refuses to speak to us or cover any of the $1045 damage bill caused by his team’s negligence. I would never trust or hire these guys again, or recommend them to anyone.
The staff that did our move were friendly, very hard working and did a good job carrying and packing items on the day which we appreciate, even though they took a few items to the wrong destination.
Unfortunately, I came back 19 hours after we left with them and the moving truck to find a flooded room in the apartment we moved out of.
A maintenance worker was called in and found the problem: the removalists hadn’t turned our tap off all the way when they disconnected our washing machine.
The gently-running tap had left small amounts of water flowing into the plasterboard it attached to (photos attached on the Google Review for this, I can’t attach them here), which leaked water through the wall overnight and soaked the floor in the next room.
Everybody investigating the issue agreed that was the problem (letter from agent also attached in Google Review), because when the tap was then turned off properly by the maintenance worker, the water stopped flowing through to the next room and everything began to dry up. Our landlord and agent agreed that Move For Less were at fault and told us to chase them up for the damages they caused.
The owner of Move For Less gave a generic denial response via text message, trying to claim it’s some sort of structural damage, despite having never been to the property at any point, and has ignored 4 attempts to have an actual conversation about it since. If the owner responds to this, it will be his first acknowledgment after 12 days of dodging the issue.
It cannot be structural damage given in 5 years, we’ve never had water damage until these removalists came (if it was there the day before you’d think they’d have mentioned they were walking across saturated carpets, they weren’t) and immediately after the maintenance man turned the tap off properly the next day, the water flow stopped and the issue was soon gone. Nobody except the removalists touched the tap on the day of installation, or in the years prior since the machine was installed.
If we hadn’t returned within 24 hours, the flooding could have extended through all of our apartment and the one below us.
We are left with a $1045 damage/carpet replacement bill caused by the removalists’ negligence/oversight, it’s blatantly clear the tap being left slightly on was the cause of the problem overnight, yet the owner is dodging our attempts to resolve it with him.
Strongly considering taking him to QCAT/Fair Trading if he continues to do so.
I don’t understand how you can cause water damage via negligence and expect to not to not take any responsibility for it, but anyone reading should be incredibly cautious about dealing with this company.
Before the incident, correspondence with the owner had been great, now very conveniently can’t get a response from him.
Hiring these guys means you need to watch them like a hawk, every single second, because evidently you can’t even trust them to turn a tap off completely, and other little mistakes were also made whenever we weren’t directing them. When they damage something, apparently they’ll squirm and ignore their way out of it. Don’t risk it, hire someone else.Read more
