I got this company through Airtasker to move a glass dining table, once they got to my place and got the table upstairs the young removalist informed me that he didn't put a blanket down to protect the table so he had smashed a piece of the table top. This table cost $1870.00. We asked the young man to contact the owner and send a photo of what had happened. He advised us that [Names removed by Sirelo] to owner was on his way to Thailand and that he may not pick up. I then asked for his details which I tried contacting. I sent [Name removed by Sirelo] a text and told him what had happened and that the young man had told us it was his fault. [Name removed by Sirelo] tells me that I HAVE TO PAY $1000.00 EXCESS BEFORE HE WILL DO ANYTHING. ON MOVE FOR LESS REMOVALS THEY SAY THEY HAVE INSURANCE BUT THEY DO NOT SAY THAT IF THEY DAMAGE SOMETHING AND THEY ADMIT IT WAS THEIR FAULT THAT THE CLIENT HAS TO PAY $1000.00 EXCESS. [Name removed by Sirelo] has blocked me from Facebook because I left a bad review. I have spoken to Fair Trading and they told me to lodge a complaint. Where is the justice in this. Was quoted for 8 ton truck and two guys, received two guys and a much smaller truck. Not complaining about service, the two guys were great however truck was not big enough, specifically chose this company because they had 8 ton truck and we needed a truck this size. This is what we were quoted for and paid for yet did not receive, apparently I don't even get an apology, was told I should have took photo of truck, I do have four witnesses, have tried contacting Hi pages as this was who we hired coy through, Hi pages don't even reply. Lesson learnt but buyer beware do not use this company.
