Non professional, unskilled movers that take no pride in moving their clients items.

I highly DO NOT recommend this company.

Was told I need 3 men for the job as one item was over 200kg
Was also advised that the job would get done quicker if the 3 men were booked

Upon arriving late 2 men and a lady arrived.

They were lovely people but had very little experience as the lady and young gentleman followed the more experienced mover around.

They could not move a single box on their own.

At one stage I had to call 2 friends over to help with the move of the heavy item.

When we arrived to the house we moved to, I started to unload the truck as they were very slow and stopped working at stages.

I was also told “we are thirsty can you go buy us waters” when I returned nothing had left the truck.

I was even told by one of them to slow down as I was unloading.

The lady the entire move all she did was fold the wrapping tarps, total waste of money and time

And to top it off a lot of the boxes they moved were placed upside down, even items that had fragile tape stuck to the box

I have sent emails to the company and have tried calling them without a return call.

Very disappointed, paid for three movers and only got one that worked

My partner and I used We Move Group on Saturday the 16th of December 2023. The pick up location was Caringbah NSW 2229 and drop off location was Miranda NSW 2228 (the next suburb over about a 6 minute drive away).

I would like to start off by saying the two men who did the move were very nice however we were ripped off and taken advantage of when it came to how long and how much the move came to.

The move total came to $1300 that is including the $100 deposit I paid when booking. The move took 8 and a bit hours.

They moved a small 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment (the second bedroom only having a computer desk and a small bookshelf in it) 1 suburb over. Both locations had lifts and at both locations they were parked right out front of the building.

Large items that they moved were the washing machine, 5 seater lounge, dining table, 4 of the 6 dining chairs (we moved the other 2 as they wouldn’t fit in the truck), computer desk (no computer chair we moved as it wouldn’t fit in the truck), 1 small bookshelf, 2 tall but light bookshelves, 1 small coffee table, no fridge as we moved that ourselves, 2 wicker outdoor chairs, 1 bedroom seat (bedside tables, tall boy, bed frame + mattress) and some boxes and bags. All of that fit onto one truck load.

I was advised when booking that we would not be required to take our bed frame apart and put it back together as the removalists would be equipped to do that. When the removalists arrived I showed them what would be moved and showed them the main bedroom with the bed still up and they said they couldn’t take it down as they didn’t have their tools. My partner and I ended up taking the bed apart and putting it back together ourselves.

At around 4:30pm I went downstairs from the drop off unit as the removalists hadn’t come up in quite some time to find them both sitting on their phones in the shade. I assumed they were just having a break but as we had somewhere to be at 5:00pm I needed things be done. I looked on the truck and noticed there were still quite a few more boxes to be brought up. I asked how long it would be until they were done and they said they were doing the quote now. That’s when they said it would be $1350. I advised them that that was a very high amount and not what I was expecting. I said I wasn’t happy paying that full amount as it shouldn’t have taken this long to move. They called their boss and were speaking for 5-10 minutes. And said the lowest they could do was $1200… but since I already paid $100 deposit the total was $1300… $50 less than what they were asking for…

As they still had 3-4 loads of boxes left on the truck and didn’t seem to want to move them until I paid them in cash I had no choice but to pay $1200. Once they were paid I have to say those 3-4 loads came up extremely fast. They finished at 5:05pm.

We have moved a whole house in less time. We have used removalists before and it has never taken that long or cost that much. We were originally quoted minimum of $394. I thought the move would cost max $750 and take about 5 hours. When we booked the receptionist said for the size of our apartment and the pick up and drop off location it would be about 4 hours.

What I am not understanding is how 1 truck load from Caringbah to Miranda (the next suburb over) took 8 hours. It was a hot day and they took little breaks which is completely understandable and I made sure they had cold iced water every time they came up at the drop off apartment but that still doesn’t justify why it took so long.

They also left multiple scratch marks on the entry way of the pick up location. And were found sitting down on their phones or on calls for quite sometime.

I have tried calling the company multiple times and leaving messages. I have emailed them twice since Monday the 18th of December and have not been contacted back. I will keep calling and emailed as I feel we are owed an explanation and a partial refund.

We had great experience with Greg & AJ from We Move Sydney.
They were prompt & courteous.
They packed a fragile glass dining table up and transported it 30 minutes away safely.
Definitely would use and recommend them!

Excellent, fact and friendly service. I was cancelled on by my first removal company on the day of my move, and came across this company. Stephanie was amazing in getting me booked in right away and not even 2 hours later I had a truck and 2 guys ready to help me. Chris and Tyson were so amazing, did everything super quickly helping with pack down of bigger furniture items and then reassembly at my new place. I was so relieved to have such a stress free experience and was also much cheaper than what I was quoted from other companies. I cant recommend these guys enough, thanks heaps for saving the day for me!

UPDATE: WeMove replied to this comment, but have not replied to numerous messages I have sent them through their support desk.

I don’t believe they have any intention of rectifying the issues, but want to save face publically by acting as though they are responding.

Awful moving company. Having charged 1/5 of the price I paid to pack and move from London to Sydney, I expected WeMove to provide a professional service. Instead I had 2 x movers arrive only to tell me that they had not been booked to pack, and argue with me when I showed them the booking note. To their credit, but only after a 30min stand off, they went to Bunnings to buy packing material. I don’t know why they bothered to buy packing paper as they took no care to properly pack and wrap items, and forced appliances into boxes that didn’t fit properly. They took no care when moving items and boxes, damaged my walls in 3 places, and argued over how to carry heavy items down the stairs. After the argument, one went and sat in the van meaning the loading went slower, therefore cost me more. I had 2 x tradesmen at the pick up location who commented to me after the movers had left how shocked they were, and they hoped everything got to the destination in one piece. They left in such a rush they left and ironing board and bin behind.

WeMove said on the phone that while they would take off the time for the packers to get the materials, they would not discount the travel time, even though I left the property an hour after they did, yet we arrived at the destination at the same time (very obvious these guys went to have lunch).

The movers left cigarette buts on my front door step, and were not professional.

I contacted the office about the issues, and have chased multiple times with regards to the damage, and have heard nothing back.
