I swear these are the most useless people I have ever met with the worst attitude possible, showing up, forcing their way in, not caring about our timing and forcing to do work their way, not ours. They did not bring tools, and left furniture all around. For a 1 bedroom apartment, it took 9hrs to finish!!!
THEY EVEN LEFT OUR BED ON THE STREET WHEN WE ASKED THEM NOT TO, WE PUT OUR HEADS ON THAT EVERY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
I am so angry like honestly this was the worst experience ever. My partner has been struggling with his health issues and still had to do work through this and had to assist them as they were so incredibly useless and taking so damn long to do everything. I tried calling their offices during the day to complain that these incompetent people did not even bring tools and the office people said “they cannot do anything at this point, sorry but they should have been prepared”. With all the excuses like this, if I showed up to work without my laptop and expect you to find me one so that I can do my work, should I even work another day for you???
My partner and I have suffered so much through this ordeal that we even needed our mother to step in with her lawyer to speak to them because I felt like they were just bullying us with their terms and conditions. Which is so unfair? We are supposed to behave a certain way as a customer, and we have to respect your terms of paying you for your service as you requested otherwise we will not get our stuff, but you do not even respect us as a customer?
Best of all, these people offered the next day to send someone to assemble the remainder of the furniture, and we said no need as we had paid someone to fix in our washing machine and fixed the rest of our furniture ourselves, and they said okay then nothing else we can do.
I work in the service industry and in fact in the front line. We do sometimes have to deal with unhappy customers. The main thing is to de-escalate or defuse the situation. A dessert is often offered. Yet, if a customer has a nut allergy and our only dessert has peanuts, we cannot just ignore our customer. We have to think of something that is right for the situation and not leave the situation unresolved.
They have no customer service and do not know how to run a business.
We need to let all the unhappy customer speak up to bring a dent to a business.
Six Brothers Removalists have just gained more unhappy customers as we have now had the chance to see how many bad reviews that are similar to ours.Read more
I would like to give a zero star review but am unable to so I will have to give a one star review.
We engaged Six Brothers Removalist to do a simple move of a one bedroom apartment that was a 15 min drive away from our current unit.
What happened:
1. Took 9 hours to do a job that most other removalists quoted for 5-6 hours. This was also discussed with them and they said it was possible.
2. Work was unfinished even after 9 hours. We paid in full as demanded one hour before their planned completion. Once the hour was over, they did not care and left things in a disarray.
3. The removalists were aggressive and not accommodating with requests. Came to do a removal job with only an allen key, we had to scramble to get them a screwdriver to dismantle the furniture, which is the most basic tool.
4. Multiple calls were made to the customer service all during the day but to no avail. The removalists just went about doing the things they way they wanted to with total disregard of our requests.
The work was done poorly and inefficiently and hence the extra time taken.
What we were told would happen - quoted from their customer service/work order
1. We understand that moving can be a stressful process, especially if it's your first time. Rest assured, our team is experienced and will do their best to make this a smooth experience for you. (this definitely did not happen)
2. Our team will disassemble and reassemble your furniture as needed, and we'll make sure everything fits into the truck safely. (again this did not happen)
3. (a) Assembly and Disassembly of all your furniture - did not happen. Some of the furniture was left unassembled and we had to do it ourselves
(b) Allocation of all items into your new home - did not happen
(c) Free Shrink Wrapping for your mattresses- they brought it down from the apartment with out shrink wrapping and left it on the carpark ground
We have tried to discuss this matter with the customer service and as far as they are concerned they did no wrong. They even tried to throw their T&C at us.
The first thing you should know is that in the Terms and Conditions that were signed, Six Brothers Removalist have a clause 6.5 that states
If requested, we may but are not obliged to:
Dismantle and reassemble goods
So basically they are saying as removalists, it is not their job to dismantle and reassemble furniture if they do not feel like it. It did not matter to them, even after T&C were signed, they had then agreed to dismantle and assemble the furniture in writing. Only because they were not equipped and did the job badly, they reverted to these tactics.
There is so much more to say but we will be bringing this whole matter to New South Wales Fair Trading. We have gathered the evidence with images, videos and the letters from the building managers who were shocked at the way this move took place.
Here is a partial excerpt from one of the building managers and they are professionals.
I wanted to share some feedback regarding the removalist service you recently used.
1. We asked them to ensure that items being loaded did not block public access, but this was not consistently adhered to.
2. Both members of the team were seen smoking during the job. And standing around for extended amounts of time.
3. They left behind furniture without notifying anyone, which was quite concerning.
4. Overall, there was a lack of care and consideration for the furniture during the process.
We tried our best to resolve this matter directly with them, their customer service is trained well and can try to write the sweetest things, but at the end of the day, they did not so here we are.
No one should have to go through this horrific experience and then be told that the T&C said they do not have to do their job. We are sure NSW Fair Trading will have something to say about that.Read more
