I do not recommend Storage King. This has been our experience, and I would encourage others to think carefully before using them.
My late mother had been renting a storage unit with Zippys. The business was later taken over by Storage King, but as far as we are aware, Mum was never informed of the change.
My mum passed away suddenly in February this year. Because of her unexpected passing, a storage payment was missed without the family knowing. During one of the hardest times of our lives, we were organising Mum's funeral and contacting all of her service providers to sort out her affairs.
We contacted Storage King, explained our situation, while storage king kept sending text messages over and over making demands, we believed we had reached a verbal agreement to catch up on the overdue payments. In the meantime, the unit was locked.
The other week my wife received a phone call advising that we needed to pay around $800 within two weeks or vacate the unit. We were told that if we chose to vacate, the debt would be cleared, but we would no longer be able to use Storage King.
We are absolutely devastated. Mum had no savings to cover her funeral, and we've already had to sell belongings just to pay for her final farewell. We simply do not have another $800 available in such a short time, and we also can't afford the cost of moving everything into another storage facility.
What hurts the most is that we feel like we're being punished for something that isn't our fault. Mum didn't choose to pass away, and we've done everything we can to deal with her affairs responsibly. We have been open and honest with Storage King from the beginning, yet instead of feeling supported, we feel like we're being backed into a corner.
We are now living with the stress and anxiety of potentially losing Mum's belongings at a time when we're still grieving her loss.
We understand businesses have policies, but we had hoped for a little compassion and understanding given the circumstances. Sadly, that hasn't been our experience.

Wonderful service from both the manager Jacqui and her offsider Kathleen. Both very professional, resourceful and excellent communication skills in the ability to help people with their storage needs!!

I highly recommend Zippy Removals & Storage.
They have gone above and beyond to assist us in what has been a stressful time planning multiple moves, including an interstate move.
Anthony is very quick at responding to e-mails/any contact, he has also helped me out with the removalists I had arranged (due to the fact I could not be there myself).
Finally, they are also very well priced and fair and our things were well looked after. Absolutely zero faults.
They have gone above and beyond to assist us in what has been a stressful time planning multiple moves, including an interstate move.

Long-established company founded by a Geelong family, Highly recommended. Their work ethic is outstanding and customer service considerate and very caring. If you need to move house or just have furniture placed in temporary storage, definitely consider using Zippy. I can't speak too highly of the company and its staff.

We would highly recommend these guys to move your home. They were absolutely fantastic, worked extremely hard, nothing damaged at all and wonderful blokes to deal with. Worth every dollar. Thanks so much boys 🙏😁
