1003I had checked on two occasions that the truck size would be adequate and they assured me it would. I even suggested that if it takes more than one truck load they will be covering the costs and they agreed. At the time.
They arrived over an hour late.
They walked into my house, started taking photos and making calls, then I got a call from CBD stating there would’ve a heap of extra charges. That’s where the problems began.
It also seemed like they were on a go slow from the moment they turned up. They were rough with my property. Knocking into walls and putting heavy objects on top of lightweight furniture.
They asked to follow us to the new house. They drove slow and kept falling back causing us to keep slowing down. I had to pull over on the highway before the exit to wait for them.
They complained about the shapes, sizes and weights of the furniture. They knew to expect stairs and I had paid a surcharge for a second floor delivery but upon arrival they complained about the stairs to CBD and they called and tried to double the surcharge cost.
To sum it up, the removalists were lazy and careless and it was very obvious that they were trying to delay at every opportunity to drag out the move. Their “Customer Service” department were even worse, threatening to cancel the truck multiple times, midway through the move.
Two trips later and double the quoted cost, if zero stars was an option that’s what I’d be selecting.
Their follow up to reviews suggesting that customer service is their priority is only for appearances sakes and not a legitimate attempt at solutions, but, if a satisfactory outcome comes from this I will update this review.
Update: I have been charged for the full two hours the removalists sat in the back of their truck and did no work. Their “Customer Service” people have refused to refund this unless I can prove it with video evidence.
The same with broken items, unless I can show video evidence of damage caused by the removalists and I’ve now found out the ‘removalists’ are students looking to make an extra buck and have literally NO experience.
My offer of compensation is a $50 voucher for my next move with CBD.
This company are nothing but scammers targeting people when they are already highly stressed with their move. I wish I’d asked the real estate for recommendations now and I highly suggest you do. Don’t get scammed.Read more
Our experience is very similar to all recent reviews. Agreed 7am start time. They didn't show up and start until 230pm. Swapped trucks before starting because they didn't need a large truck. Then it took them three trips to complete.
They cancelled the second job we had booked at 2pm, leaving us with no options to source another company. This job was for a vulnerable member of our community who needed to vacate a dwelling urgently.
Final payment didn't take into account our deposit being paid. Spam called and harassment until I made payment.
I raised all of the above with their customer service team, and was advised I couldn't raise a complaint until payment was made.
This is a genuine review. Our booking reference number was 6906079. We booked under our company name.
Zero stars if I could. This company felt like a total setup. The first two movers worked painfully slow, making it obvious they couldn’t finish the job alone — seemingly by design. When a second team arrived, the pace stayed the same, and the conversation shifted to needing a third trip, which felt completely unnecessary. It reeked of a scam to drag out the job and inflate costs. To top it off, they offered me $150 to remove my review. I refused. Avoid this company if you value your time, money, or a straightforward, honest move.
Very unprofessional and you dealing overseas that they don’t have any idea what movers are doing
Go with local movers even you pay bit extra but satisfaction
