Careful if you get a quote from these guys. Most unprofessional business transaction I've encountered in a while in town. Got a quote from them to move to Darwin from Alice. Came and did a quote no worries and said that we wouldn't even fill a container so if we ended up with more than the quoted amount on the day it wouldn't change anything. Thanked him for his time and continued getting quotes and looking at our options as you clearly do in these situations. Ended up quoting us $1000 more than Kent and so we decided to go with Kent. Had everything organised through them online and had an uplift date locked in. We then get an email from Kent saying that their local agents in Alice Springs, as they only have people in Darwin, are CAL! and that Kent have received information from their 'local agent' that our property is difficult access and would incur extra fees and that we had more gear than what was quoted. I've then sent an email to Kent with a screenshot of our property clearly showing that our house is absolutely not a difficult access property. Single floor, wide open driveway with concrete footpath to the front door and a separate concrete footpath to a pedestrian gate and that you could park any size truck out the front including a semi, which I have done so in the past! Kent apologised and said clearly they had been given the wrong information and our quoted items list was completely accurate. Now knowing that these guys (CAL) were completely unprofessional sooks with sour grapes because we didn't accept their quote, we weren't happy that they were going to be touching our stuff on behalf of Kent now anyway but left things as planned. Kent have obviously relayed this information onto CAL and then we received an email from Kent saying they could no longer do our uplift as their 'local agents' had refused to do the job and that they now weren't available on the required dates which we knew was incorrect because we had discussed their availability and movements throughout the month originally. When I've contacted CAL directly to find out what they had to say about the matter they made up excuses and dismissed the matter claiming not to have all the details but that Rob would call me back. No phone call was ever received. We went with another big name. Do yourself a favour if you're moving outside of town and go with someone else. These guys are clearly not professional and don't understand how small towns and business work.Read more

CAL have moved my house hold furniture twice. Always a pleasure to work with this team. I hope they will move me again in the near future.

CAL delivered a table I had ordered. They arrived on time. The table arrived in pristine condition. They were very accommodating and professional. Extremely happy with their service
