Palmers has been helping people move since 1980. We’re still family-owned and operated, with teams in Sydney and Melbourne looking after local, interstate and international relocations. The business has changed over the years, but what people need from a mover has not: clear advice, careful planning and people who take responsibility for the job.

What makes your company stand out?

We’re proud of the experience within Palmers, but experience only matters if our clients benefit from it. Our consultants, coordinators, operations team and crews each know a different part of the job. They work together, so the advice given at the beginning is grounded in what will actually need to happen later, with everyone working towards the same outcome.

What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?

Palmers Protect+ is an optional extended warranty, not an insurance policy. We explain each option, including its limits and exclusions, so you can decide whether you want it. If damage is reported, our team assesses the damage, applies the terms and conditions of your chosen Protect+ option and keeps you informed throughout.

What is the best advice you would give to customers?

Start earlier than you think you need to. Accurate details help your mover plan. When comparing quotes, look beyond the total: check that they allow for the same volume, access, packing, specialist items and storage. For international moves, check what is included at destination and any charges payable there.

It can be very stressful when you decide to relocate overseas. All of the staff at Palmers Relocations were Professional and Friendly, I would highly recommend them!

The sales staff were great,but the relocation coordinator was terrible,wouldn’t answer my phone calls ,emails reply’s were mostly just generic,charged $650 for mpi fees when they were $480..tried to tell me that mpi had invoiced incorrectly..blah blah..basically once ya hand over the money for the move they couldn’t careless about you or your concerns..would not recommend them at all!

Palmers at all times were reluable and timely. All contact was great. I always knew where I stood. I had a complex move. 2 locations into one and two times lines. All went well. The packing teams were superb and spectacular. Everything unpacked as it had gone in. Such a huge relief! Christmas resulted in shipping delays so allow time for that. The paperwork for my car was dot on. Such a relief again! My niece will do the same journey nxt year with them too!
