This moving company is incredibly unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone. Before we hired them we asked if they had insurance or if we would have to get our own and they assured us that they had their own insurance and that if anything was broken during the move their insurance company would cover it. They also informed us that they had to pack our electronics themselves because otherwise their insurance wouldn’t cover those if we packed them.
On the day of the move they were incredibly rude, they endlessly complained about how much boxes and furniture we had despite having been shown around our property a week beforehand. We asked them to take our dining table apart so it wouldn’t break and they insisted it would be fine. It was one of the many items that broke during the move. They also hadn’t brought any packing material except some of their moving blankets for our furniture despite them mentioning they would. They refused to go and get the packing materials but went out to get lunch for themselves and then left all their lunch rubbish on the ground outside instead of using the bins.
They packed several of our fragile and expensive electronics all in one box, piled on top of each other, with a bunch of pillows shoved up on top. They refused to put any of our plants on the truck, calling them weeds and leaving them in the driveway. Upon us arriving at our house we discovered they had left half of our belongings on the veranda where anyone could have helped themselves and they broke a lot of our belongings. Items that they broke are as follows:
- Our dining room tables legs were snapped off.
- One of our bookshelves backs was caved in.
- My desktop computer tower side panel was caved in and now won’t work.
- A picture frame’s (that is wrapped in bubble wrap) glass is broken.
- One of the upright posts on a black metal shop shelving unit is bent out of shape. Other parts of the shelving are missing and therefore it’s useless.
They still have not paid for any of the damages, despite claiming that they would. They have made endless excuses, claiming that they couldn’t get around to our damages until their busy season was over. According to them their busy season finished in March, it is now June and we still haven’t heard anything back from them. They moved us in October of last year. They’re ignoring all of our calls and messages. Do not hire this moving company if you care about your possessions.Read more
