DO NOT RECOMMEND DAVES REMOVALS.
In the move they broke my bed. I tired to sort out the replacement or for the bed to be fixed. Never got any phone calls or messages back. I had to keep reminding them of the situation and they kept telling me the same lies over and over again.
They now do not answer my phone calls. I still have no bed and I am having to go through fair trading to get this sorted out.
I also payed for the insurance on the move they recommend. What a waste of money.

Can not recommend this company after the worst moving experiences I’ve had in my life. I was quoted $190 / hour to move a 3 bedroom household from one part of Wollongong to another 20 minutes away. A smaller truck was used as the destination had tight access so 2 loads were required. A deposit of 2 hours $380 was taken by the owner Dave a couple of days before the move. I was then told that a third man would be there on the day but the rate would remain the same. It was a simultaneous settlement which is always a stressful situation. The team were Chad, Ryan and Isaac. Luckily I had tools as they weren’t equipped with basic ones like screwdrivers to dismantle beds or table tops. They advised me that they’d emptied the house into the courtyard so a final inspection could be carried out by the new owner but a mounted tv, soundbar and treadmill had been left behind. There was a delay in settlement and despite the reassurances of Michael in the office that they see these situations all the time, the team was getting increasingly frustrated and tetchy to deal with. They unloaded the first load on the verandah of the new place until I was finally able to get the key. The second load began in the late afternoon when it started raining and although I was assured they were used to working in the rain and all weathers, there were 3 men on the back of the truck for up to an hour as I carried things up on my own. As a lone woman in her 60s this was pretty poor. By this time any of the very infrequent requests I made were being ignored particularly by the English guy who was plain rude. Around 11pm and halfway through unloading the second load I was told I had to pay the bill with work being estimated to finish at midnight. Another $600 had been added on top of the quoted amount which I disputed despite being on my own and feeling intimidated by the men. The English guy then spent the next hour making cracks about getting a ‘cheap’ service anytime he thought I was in hearing distance. At this stage there was no paying attention to labels on boxes .. things were literally dumped in the garage as quickly as they could get them of the truck. They didn’t inform me when or if the truck was empty. Doors slammed and off they sped. Garage lights left on with no way of switching them off as they had barricaded the door closest to the light switch with boxes. A couple of weeks later, with the help of family and friends I’ve finally managed to reorganise the last corner of the garage to find my second tv, soundbar, treadmill and dining table top are all missing. Thanks guys you should be proud of yourselves.

DO NOT USE DAVE'S REMOVALS!!!!
The service we received for our removal was disgusting and very unprofessional. We received a message at 5:30 a.m. in the morning on the day of our move advising workers had called in sick and our job would be delayed for a couple of hours. At 1:00 p.m. I tried to contact Dave's removals to see what was happening with our move, with no response from phone messages nor my sms messages. They finally called and advised someone would be attending within the next hour. When someone finally did turn up we found out it was actually not Dave's Removals but another removal company. Never were we advised nor authorize this. Our move was quite large so the move commenced approximately 2:00 p.m. and finished at 1:00 a.m. the following morning.
There was no explanation or compensation paid for the inconvenience caused, even though they said the would. Liars and very unprofessional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY EVER!!!! Use Hunts Removals!

9/2/24 i was given a quote over the phone if $200 to bring a dresser from. K. Valley to Worrigee. When the blokes delivered the dresser they said the charge was $475. Receipt provided. This info had not been given to me over The phone, it was late in The day, said i was displeased about the financial outcome. Had to transfer Extra money through bank.
I was back in Aus. 2 weeks later, phoned company was told big issues, someone had been giving false quotes/ double dipping/ person had been sacked/ i wasnt the only one/ the bsb i had been asked to transfer to, was not the companies????
Told manager would call me both times i spoke to staff member, I have not heard from anyone. I have spoken to bank today they are going to contact bank involved. Perhaps ombudsman and fair trading to follow.

Absolutely awesome service guys. We had Mick & Cam move my mums house this morning and they smashed it out. Took extra care with our items, had great communication with my mum on location of items and they were very attentive to our budget, appreciate the hard work guys in this 38° weather. Will definitely recommend you guys to friends & family.

Dave's Removals just moved us & our contents from a house on a very steep block - in the rain! They were polite, friendly, caring and worked hard all day. Couldn't have asked for a better bunch.
Cameron, Chris & Jax were awesome! Our move was so much smoother because of them.
