As an ex-serviceman who has moved across Australia 28 times over the course of my career, I have experienced the very bad and not-so bad of removals. On retirement, we chose WE Hughes after a positive first moving experience with them. This second time was easily the BEST removal experience we’ve ever had. The total cost was very competitive, but cost aside, the whole team were nothing short of terrific. Engagement with the office staff was always very positive and the pre-pack, uplift, storage (two months) and delivery were all great. Hughes staff were polite, entirely honest, on time, professional and a cheery bunch. Over nearly four containers full of effects, not one single breakage or loss (yes, sadly, I’ve experienced outright theft during moves with other removalists).
Moving house is never a fun process, but thank you, Hughes for making this experience as painless as possible. I honestly hope that I don’t move again until it’s me in the box, but if I do, I will definitely call upon WE Hughes.Read more

Had a removal from Adelaide to Brisbane and I can honestly say it was the worst experience I have ever experienced, and we move a lot! over 70 items broken or severely damaged, and 2 boxes 'lost'.
Boxes packed incorrectly leading to several collapses within the container causing extensive damage and dangerous unload conditions for the delivery team in Brisbane.
Appalling services and I would not recommend for an interstate move, nor will I ever use the services of W.E. Hughes again.

We recently relocated from the Adelaide Hills to Clare but needed our belongings stored for 3 months as well. The Hughes team did a fantastic job both in packing and unpacking and communications throughout were excellent. I can't recommend them enough.

The best removalists I have ever had , we are a defence family we move alot and this has been the only time, we can say the removalist crew was amazing , they understood everything we want, they label everything and packed our furniture with so much care. Special thanks To Adam from the crew his service is exceptional and friendly too. 100% Recommended they are the best in Adelaide South Australia.

We are a defence family, moving over a very busy period of the year. I'd like to say a huge thank you to the team who helped us move over the last two days. On first meeting, the team packing up our belongings set both my wife and I at ease from the outset. Professional and courteous team, helping us during what could have been incredibly stressful. Special shout out to Tom, Steve, Jesse, Jamie and Adam. Thanks for making this one of the easiest moves we've had in 30 years!
