I had a positive experience with this company when I first used them to move my belongings into storage, which is why I chose them again for my recent move into a new home. Unfortunately, this second experience was extremely disappointing.
From the outset, the team’s attitude was dismissive and at times rude. Items were unloaded carelessly, with little regard for handling them properly. I felt I had to constantly monitor their work, and despite this, many belongings were damaged in the process. So far, I estimate over $1,000 worth of items have been broken – and I haven’t finished unpacking. The items include a printer, 4x4 IKEA cubes, numerous tubs, and containers, and other belongings. Items were thrown into mismatched containers instead of being properly packed into boxes (despite me paying for this service). Only four boxes were actually used, which was not nearly enough. On top of that, nearly everything was left dirty, marked, or scratched. I still haven’t finished unpacking, so I may yet discover further damage.
I want to add that I’ve moved eight times before, including using storage facilities four times, and even when moving myself I have never had items end up dirty, blemished, or damaged like this. At worst, I may have had one or two things break – but this move was on another level entirely.
To make matters worse, I also discovered that Shane had taken my unregistered trailer without my knowledge or consent to use for his own dumping runs. Not only was this completely inappropriate, but he also caused damage to the trailer – the back is no longer straight and doesn’t close properly. When I raised this with him by text, he never responded. The only time he addressed it was when he saw me at the storage facility later, where he simply shrugged, gave a half-hearted apology, and laughed it off. I also found him personally extremely rude at the end of the job.

COWBOYS, DO NOT USE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Dropped my new fridge and dented every side of it badly. Told me they don’t have insurance so I have to pay extra to claim. Took double the time of other companies to move the same stuff. Rude and creepy operators. I have used plenty of removal and this one is definitely not professional, the worst experience. Expensive, slow and dodgy

Soooo, moving is hard, second to death they say and I’ve felt it, packing my bits and bobs accumulated over 13 years…then I get a removalist (before I got A1 Removals)…and 4 guys showed up with absolutely NO experience and after seeing they didn’t even know how to move my bookshelf, they admitted they had less than 1 month experience…so then I called Shane from A1 Removals (a friend had recommended) and he said he’d be there the next day! Total savior! The two guy team that showed up to my place quickly assessed the situation and started removing (big, heavy furniture) and they just blew me away with their efficiency and effectiveness…these guys are worth every cent and more! How often do you want to tip a removalist..??? Well I did because I’d just been at a friends until 1am watching a different team drag that move out…and yet I got this brilliant experience that enabled me to sit back with a glass of wine tonight with everything in place💫

From having to chase Shane to find out what time they were coming and if they took credit cards.
That was the easy part but didn't realise it. Read reviews and thought I was getting a professional service.
While they moved me 2022 in January, it's taken time for me to choose my words carefully.
I would never recommend or uses this firm again. There was only one who really had the brains to know where things would fit and took care. One they had help with getting my lounge in the front door, was brainless. I have to fix the front door jam and repaint and two walls have small dents I have to fix. They didn't even know the back of the lounge came off.
I have moved 18 times and pack all my stuff, within that time I think two things broke. Well, not this time, I had things broken that I can't replace and I think it totalled five items. As well as dinning chairs that are not as stable as before.
You possibly have read the good reviews like I did but be very, very careful.

I must say, they took great care of our belongings, even though they put a hole in the walls of my rental and grinded my antique chair against the concrete wall for a second. However, after 6 hours of them still moving my 1 bedroom apartment furniture and charging $150 an hour, we were upset as to why they were taking to long. Moving into my place only took past movers 4 hours. Then they threatened to take my furniture and leave if we were so unhappy. In the end it took them 14 hours to complete the job. The owner was very aggressive to his employee and borderline abusive. Made me very uncomfortable. Never again.
