2 small Guys turned up in a rusty old truck (who were very kind btw) took one look at the table, and said 'Nah, no chance'... But I warned them?
Ok no worries Ill call them afterward and we just move everything else.
Called Cronulla Removals and Robin amswered. How unfortunate. Why didnt they send people to move table I repeatedly warned them about?
Robin: 'oh the guy who was supposed to come called in with covid so he couldnt' ok but dont you think you could warn me?
Robin: 'um no, I am only part time so i dont know. He was sick'
Ok but im supposed to be totally out and moved today, what should I do? I repeatedly warned you guys about it..
Robin: 'listen love, (whilst laughing) what do you want me to do, Im only part time, I dont know about any emails or tables'
Couldnt you have informed me about it?
Robin: (after i told her i was shocked, to please stop laughing and condescending) Im sorry sir, i will try and organize something and get back to you on your number as soon as possible today'
NOT SURPRISINGLY NO CONTACT BACK...
I am absolutely shocked by how poor this whole thing has been. Not only the non service of table but the attitude of the staff, 2 small guys turn up and all they had to move was a fridge, a washing machine, 2 beds and a table... nothing else..
I had to help them, they couldnt lift half of it into their old truck and then i am expected to pay full price for a service they didnt even do....
Run from these guys... go immediately to someone else.Read more
They were really careful with all our items and nothing was damaged in the move. This included getting an 85' TV down a narrow stairwell, which we were dreading. They made short work of it, and again took a lot of care.
We first used them over 6 months ago and are now booking our 2nd move with them.
Removals: I've used them for 5 removals and have had no problem. On one occasion during a removal, I was told the glass from a table top had been broken, but a new one was cut and at the destination before the end of the day. They didn't even need to tell me and even though I was insured, there was no expectation I should have to cover it. They have always kept to the initial quote and accommodated my packing up to the last minute (as well as remembering I had stuff in the garage too!).
Storage: I've used them for storage at all three locations. The first was convenient because I could just access it myself via padlock; however, at the other two locations they always accommodate access to my crates following a phone call.
During a 24-month period of redundancy in 2010, I was unable to pay for my storage on 9 crates, which was a great worry. They really looked after me by continuing to store the items and not harassing me to make payment (despite this being $20K+ by the time I could make payment).
There may be less expensive companies and there may be more expensive companies, but I would not consider using anyone else. The owners Glen and Michelle really look after their customers and are genuinely interested and friendly, they demonstrate values in our society, which seem to have been driven out of business – loyalty and care.
