1 hours late. Had to phone them to see if they were coming. [Name removed by Sirelo] state if late a refund of one hour will be deducted. 2 months later and 20 odd email and no refund still. Wont reply to my emails.Will never use again

originally quoted a reasonable cost, based on the inventory I supplied, and later made some adjustments when I updated my inventory, but clearly, they underquoted to get the job. They
claimed on the day of moving that the 12-ton truck had broken down, hence sent a smaller one which necessitated 2 trips, after the second load was being unloaded (the guys doing it did a great job)
the office rang and advised the cost was 60% more than their quote. (They claimed this was because there were many items not included in my inventory, which was blatantly untrue), and refused to supply me with a list of the 'so called' extra items. Eventually negotiated a price as otherwise they said they would withhold some of my goods. Still 30% over their original quote. I will certainly be taking this matter further. So be warned make sure your inventory is exact.

The movers arrived sharp at 7 am as requested and finished my move in 3.5 hours, very happy with the overall experience.

Removalists booked from 7-9am on a Saturday, sounded professional on phone, paid deposit as asked.

Waited from 7am on Saturday for arrival. After 10am still no removalists, not even a courtesy phone call or text. Called company back and fourth over course of the day, and they could not get hold of initial crew assigned for the job.

After several more calls and hours, and me explaining that we had to be out of our current rental that day, we eventually received a text that the initial crew were no longer able to do the job (no explanation as to why), and that they would try and assign another crew. The text stated I could contact that number to follow-up, and as several more hours passed I attempted to call and text, I never received a reply. By late afternoon after trying another number, they eventually answered and assigned a crew.

They were lovely, it was late, they lived several hours away. We helped them move everything and bought them dinner. I then sent email to Jim’s explaining that moving is a stressful experience and it is unprofessional for a crew to be assigned a job then simply not show up, as well as not bother to give us a courtesy call or text to inform us they aren’t able to come (especially as we had to be out that day). It is over a week later and no reply.

I would never use Jim’s again. We have moved several times including interstate in the past few years, and never have we experienced such an unprofessional and stressful experience as this.

Unfortunately, it was the most stressful and disappointing moving experience I have ever experienced. I provided a list of all items for removal and was provided with a quote. On the day a truck arrives that would no way fit all of my furniture. The guys have a look and decide we are not able to do this in one go, will have to make two trips. They noticed a piano and I explained that this is also included. I was told that they weren't informed of this and questioned that I had actually included it on my list. Phone calls were made to I guess the manager, who also doubted me. On further looking found on the. list. So much time was wasted with this. I was then told they could not move it as required extra person. In the end a move that was booked between 1 - 3 pm finished after 9 pm. Payment was requested by phone call from manager, who then told me an amount $1000 over the initial quote, I queried this amount as per quote and was told that is just an initial amount that can change. There were no apologies from this person about anything. I paid the amount as the poor workers did their best but at times they seemed very slow in their pace of work and one on his mobile quite often. I would not recommend this group of Jim's removalists to anyone else. Moving is never an easy process but this was just crap. I made a complaint the next day. No response so far.Read more
