Eduardo & John helped us relocate homes this week.

The movers fully packed our property, moved us and helped unpack boxes in our kitchen after the move.

Friendly guys who offered to help as much as they could and worked at a quick but careful pace the entire time.

**10 hours for a 2.5km move, damaged items, misplaced keys with strange stories, and getting yelled at by Matthew**

Edit: Matt has now threatened to sue me for defamation and coincidentally has 2 new 5 star reviews from his workers who did our move. There are a lot of untruthful statements in his response, so this is my truthful recount of events:

We moved on a rainy day, and access at the new property wasn’t great- we are on the 3rd level and there are a few stairs. We knew the rain would affect the move and access would mean it took longer, but the removalists definitely took advantage of that. We moved as much as we could the day before, to make it easier in the rain. The new place already had big appliances, so we only needed to move 2 beds (taken apart), 2 tv’s, 3 chest of drawers, bedside tables, desk, indoor and outdoor lounge, bbq and other miscellaneous items. We also got them to move our old washing machine down to the garage, and in the process they managed to crack the door of it. We had some items in the apartment, and others in the garage, which they decided to do in 2 trips which blew out the time frame. However as soon as it got later in the day they sped up and miraculously finished right on 5pm

They said it took longer because they wrapped a few of our items, but we’ve still ended up with damage to multiple items. Our tv was delivered upside down- to which Matthew told us this was fine and he has the contract for Samsung and does it all the time
Our $1400 desk was left out in the rain with little cover. They also unnecessarily removed the drawers, and bent the track in transit so it is now unusable

They didn’t put any protection down on the carpet in our new place, so now we have the extra cost of needing to get the carpets cleaned in the common areas

When we refused to pay the full removalist charge over the phone, Matthew agreed on payment for 6 hours but said he would only take card details, to which he could have charged whatever he wanted. He raced over to our new home and proceeded to yell over us instead of trying to find a resolution, even though we had already paid cash for 6 hours. He went on about running 7 different businesses and told us most removalists would pack up your belongings and go sell it, and he could easily do that. After yelling for 20 mins he then left when we couldn’t get to a resolution

We then realised his guys still had the keys to our old place. I messaged Matthew and he said he would ask them. The next day I followed up and he said the guy was 2.5 hours away. When we asked where, he said um.. um.. Newcastle, then told us the guy wasn’t working that day but would bring them down and put them in the letterbox. When I followed up later that day he said the guy had appointments today then would come down. At 2:30pm he said the guy was leaving Nelson bay and would be there around 7pm. Then at 4pm he said the guy was about to put the keys in the letter box at the old place. We rang Matthew and said we would go meet them so we could get the keys directly. He then said the guy caught public transport and doesn’t have a car. We asked which bus stop he would be at, and he just kept saying he was on the B1. We got in the car to go get the keys, because we weren’t confident we would actually get them back.
Matt then told us he would get the keys off the guy who was supposedly on the bus, and come give them to us at the old property. We live 2.5km away and were there within 5 mins, and Matt had supposedly already met his worker who was on the bus and made it to our old place before us.

Overall a terrible experience and I’m shocked at how he has managed to keep a good rating. I’m posting this because I would hate for others to have a similar experience to what we have had.

Damage- coffee table scratched, paint taken off legs of outdoor lounge, mattress dirty, desk drawer track bent, tv delivered upside down, artwork scratched, washing machine door cracked

We purchased a new oven, only to be told by the stores delivery drivers that due to bad access (inclinator or dirt stairs) it was simply not possible to get the oven down to our property.

After calling around all afternoon to local movers, Matthew was the only one willing to give it a go and showed up with 6 of his movers the following day.

After trying a couple options without much luck, Matthew worked out a way of building a platform for the oven to sit on and securely strapping it to our inclinator.

Needless to say, before long we had our new oven in and the movers had taken the old one without any damage.

We can't thank them enough for their can do attitude and willingness to help get us out of a tricky situation.

Thanks Matthew & team, super stars!

I had booked Ignite Removals for my move from Mascot to Kensington. Before the move I was really anxious about the whole process, but turns out with the right help it's easy! The team helped me move my mattresses and fridge and other items so swiftly into my new apartment, It was all done in about 1.5 hours! All the items were transported with utmost care and the whole process was very stress free. Got a great deal too. I highly recommend Ignite Removals for your next removal job!

Could not recommend these guys more! I needed to move out of my brookvale studio and was daunted with the task of removing my pottery kiln, and I could not be happier with how the move went with Ignite. They were super efficient and gentle, and took great care with getting the heavy and fragile kiln to the new space. Despite it being a relatively small/fast job, we definitely could not have done it anywhere near as smoothly or with as much finesse on our own. Also unbeatably priced, which was just a bonus on top of it all. Best believe I’ll be yapping about them to anyone else who needs things moved, and will 100% be using them again in future.
