332One of the worst days of my life. Movers were scheduled to start at 7am after 1 hour the admin team said they were already moving out stuff. We told them this is not true and to give us an ETA. Admin woman Erika kept saying she would call us back and never did. We kept calling for 4 hours to find out what was happening while already moving half the house on our own. Erika completely ignoring our calls over and over until I get a call from the driver who sounds like he’s in a truck driving and says sorry I’m broken down waiting for NRMA. Complete lies I could tell he was driving. I then request Erika book us with another team and she finally calls back to say yes they will be there in 1.5hrs. I asked her if she had double booked as earlier in the week she asked if we could change the booking to 4 hours later and I said no. She then told me she was going to cancel the service and hung up.
I’m pregnant stressing out that now we have no one to help move our things despite paying a deposit fee and doing nothing wrong. At 11:30 a man calls me that he’s here so she hasn’t cancelled the service. As soon as the movers move 1 thing into the truck they leave there trolleys in the middle of the road and someone drives over it and snaps it, arguments started with them for over 30 mins as the mover was demanding the money or he will go home. I in tears said we would pay so he would stop wasting time. $120 added to the bill.
They ended up only moving the fridge, mattress, coffee table and draws, EVERYTHING else was moved by us.. for 3h of awful service with terrible admin customer service and for us to have to do 20-30 car trips on our own to make this move work, this was hands down the worst moving experience we’ve had.
I think you get what you pay for with movers and this was a clear mistake we will NEVER make again.
Erika, you genuinely need training on communication and not to lie to customers. If you have double booked you need to own your mistake and explain. If you say you are going to call someone back you need to make a note on your forehead so you call them back.Read more
It took the movers 5 hours to travel from Canberra to Sydney, despite us driving the same route at the same time and arriving in 3.5 hours. During the move itself, one staff member went missing for more than 20 minutes, and what should have been a straightforward two-bedroom move ended up taking 12 hours. We were still charged for 13 hours. We also noticed damage afterwards including broken leaves on my plants and scratches on furniture. When I raised this with the company, the initial response suggested that broken leaves over a 350 km move was “normal,” which felt very dismissive and unprofessional.
However – after further discussion, the company did offer a one-hour refund as a gesture of goodwill. I still stand by my feedback regarding the service and the overall experience, but I appreciate that they made some effort to address my concerns.Read more
